Long time Rotarian and longtime member of the District Youth Exchange committee Chuck Zimmerman has passed on. His funeral is this Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 1pm at the Methodist Church on Fulton St downtown, Grand Rapids –a family reception will follow the service. Click here for obituary!

The Safe Water Team, Inc. has announced the creation of a video competition. The aim of the competition is for students, grades 6-12, to produce a creative, informative and inspiring video that focuses on a variety of topics about the world safe water crisis. According to UNICEF, “more than a billion people do not have access to safe water and well over 2 billion people live without adequate sanitation. At any given time, more than half of the developing world’s population is suffering from one or more of the primary diseases associated with unsafe water and poor sanitation.” | | Posted by James White on Dec 01, 2013
Saturday February 15 in Elk Rapids; Saturday February 22 in Cedar Springs; or Saturday March 1 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. These are the dates for the District Training Assembly we hope many of your club members will attend. Each location is no more than an hour and a half drive from a club location. The agenda is the same regardless of which location works best for you and your club. Check out the District Training Assembly page under 'Training' for more specific details.

Muskegon Club President, Don Crandall says “If you don’t go . . . you don’t know.” I’ve had several Rotarians ask me how they could go on such a trip. There are four different ones that I am aware of and the sponsoring clubs have said that anyone in our district is invited to participate (at your own cost of course) until their open slots are filled. Projects are located in: - Dominican Republic (2 different projects)
- Haiti
- Honduras
