Have you checked out our WES's Facebook page lately? Just click here and check it out.  People from all over the world are learning about the busiest school in SJUSD.

As principal, I rely on volunteers like Mr. Brian, sponsor of our ADELANTE and Mariposa Leadership clubs, to promote us on Facebook. But I never expected that 20% of our audience would come from Guatemala! What about the folks in Iceland and Pakistan who are reading about Olympic ice skater Kristi Yamaguchi's gift of 32 electronic readers to our kinder students? Or, Mexico City residents who are watching Daniel's mother sing the Mexican National Anthem.

I encourage you to check out both our Facebook page and our web site, so that you too  will be amazed at how lucky students are to attend at vibrant and dynamic school.

Children imitate their parents and if they see their parents reading and reading to them, they will read too. Washington has Family Reading Nights every Friday in the library between 4 pm and 6 pm. On Saturday morning many parents come to the library to read with their children between 9am and 1pm. Come out and join us!

We are all excited to see how ClubRunner will revolutionize the way we manage our day to day activities, as well as communicate more effectively.  The website is http://www.washington-school.org Please remember the dash between washington and school.

ClubRunner is a database-backed membership communication tool. Accessible by all members, it allows you to communicate much more effectively, as well as saves you valuable time. Online registrations for events and volunteer activities, automatic email services, and an integrated e-Bulletin, among other features, makes it easy to promote your school's activities.

The website features easy to use content management tools, where you don't need to know HTML or FTP to update it. Accessible by any authorized school member with a browser and Internet connection, it stays current with less effort.

Doxess, the creators of ClubRunner, welcome any comments or suggestions, and of course, bug reports. All correspondence related to ClubRunner is to be forwarded to [email protected]. For more information on ClubRunner, visit their website at www.clubrunner.ca.
