SPC Ashton Tubbs and his wife Melanie were hosted last weekend by Operation Vacation for a special visit to Austin at the Courtyard Marriott South. This program provides quality free time for one selected military family from Ft. Hood once a month with activities, meals and hotel rooms. The highlight of the weekend is always the dinner hosted by the County Line with the best barbeque in Texas, flowers and spending money for their entertainment. This special weekend is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Austin and Killeen and is a huge success due to Rotary’s joint sponsors of the Austin Hotel and Lodging Association, Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau, County Line Restaurants, Toyota Killeen, Super Shuttle and Around Austin Inc.
