As we landed at Glasgow airport after a gruelling four weeks curling in Canada we felt that this was the tour to end all tours – I am sure that the 29 tours that had been before us had felt the same. We had been treated to fellowship and hospitality that was second to none.

Outgoing DG Brian Carmichael pinned our new District Governor Ian Ferguson on Monday, June 25 at the special changeover meeting attended by 180 Rotarians from across the District.

The evening was organized by Bill Koopman, and MC was Jim Campbell, both of the Rotary Club of Oakville Trafalgar.

DG Ian talked about the importance of clubs to the life of Rotary. He says strong clubs make for a healthy organization. He promised that District would be a strong resource for clubs during his year as DG.

About 225 Rotarians attended the Annual Club Leadership Training and Assembly at EC Drury in Milton on the weekend. DGE Ian Ferguson launched the day-long event words of inspiration for the coming year.

Incoming club executive members had an opportunity to listen to veteran Rotarians, who provided valuable information about club management as well as fundraising, Foundation, Public Relations and New Generations to name a few.
