On October 24th, 2012, Rotary District 7870 Governor Tony Gilmore brought the End Polio Now campaign to the New Hampshire Capital with a major light show.  New Hampshire First Lady Dr. Susan Lynch was the Chief Guest and past District Governor Chris Parkinson was the Master of Ceremonies. Governor Lynch issued a proclamation that October 24th is the New Hampshire Polio Eradication Day.  The Laser Show Ceremony was well attended by Rotarians from NH, Vermont and also general public.

I have been a part of the Amigos De Honduras program for the past twelve years.  We take great pride in the fact that over that time numerous teams of Rotarians from 29 of our clubs, have constructed 5 schools, expanded 2 schools, converted 2 buildings into schools, painted and repaired 4 schools, and have worked on a youth center.   We have also repaired hospitals and constructed a Dental Clinic.  Also over that period, we have had 18 medical and dental missions and have served more than 21,000 people.  Finally, we have installed more than 25,000 water filters and more than 125,000 people now have pure water to drink which has greatly improved their health status.

The District 7870 Foundation has built the Paul Harris Memorial Garden on the grounds of the Little Red Schoolhouse. A large bronze Rotary wheel is the centerpiece with concrete pavers on the circumference and spokes and red bricks between the spokes. (Please refer to diagram in the brochure under Documents.) The sale of these various items is enabling the Foundation to build up an endowment fund that helps ensure the self sufficiency of this historic building.
