Peter Smith., a member of the Rotary Club of Wahroonga, celebrated his 70th birthday in January. Peter contacted the SheltertBox office to say, that like many of us, he could not think of too many things he wanted as a birthday present. So he decided to give the guests to his party the opportunity to make a donation in favour of ShelterBox in lieu of a present.

On Wednesday, 20 February, we’re holding a Rotary history Twitter quiz on @rotary using the #ri108 hash tag.  Randomly selected participants will receive from RI Headquarters items such as pins, T-shirts, CDs, and DVDs. We also have two scarves and two ties signed by RI President Sakuji Tanaka that we’ll give away.

Applications are invited for 2014 Rotary Peace Fellowships

The Rotary Peace Fellowship is the premier educational program of The Rotary Foundation and supports Rotary’s mission to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace. It is intended for individuals who have chosen a career related to international relations, peace, and conflict resolution; who have work experience in these areas; and who have a commitment to community or international humanitarian service and working for peace. Applicants should consider these objectives carefully before applying.

We believe that the orhpans from Fukushima will get over this tragedy someday as long as the warmest hands of help support them.
All proceeds from this fundraising will be solely used to bring Fukushima Orphans to Sydney as part of the Healing Program

It's not a logo, more of a symbol that is being sought for our new District starting on 1 July. 

But it is a competition, and it closes on 28 February, with a prize on offer for the club of the winning member.

No rules except the design must reflect the district's slogan 'from the mountains to the sea', the colours must reflect these geographical areas, and the Rotary wheel must be included and meet RI protocols.

So get cracking, time is running out.
